In Provence, the 2024 vintage was marked by complex climatic conditions, requiring constant vigilance and attention in the vineyard. Frost in May, hail in July and then a cool and slightly rainy September favoured slow ripening of the grapes. This allowed us to obtain aromatic and fresh wines, with a well-preserved natural acidity, but with paler colour than usual, a consequence of a lower ph. The first tastings reveal fresh and dense aromas, accompanied by a nice complexity on the palate, full of flavours and saline at the same time. Tangy and fruity, without any harshness, particularly pleasant and easy to drink.
TerroirStudio by Miraval is strongly influenced by the sea sprays and the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea. These salty soils give the wine a unique character and an almost iodized finish.
AgeingAll the varieties are vinified by direct pressing. The Cinsault and Tibouren in Stainless steel vats. The Grenache & Rolle are partially vinified in tulip-shaped concrete vats with a rounded bottom. This ovoid shape gives rise to a natural convection movement that suspends the lees creating the same effect as a batonnage and gives the wine a lot of structure.
